ABOUT CHARITY AT UWRFC
UWRFC has always shown a keen interest in developing a charitable ethos within the club and has demonstrated some incredible charity successes over recent years. We are always committed to giving back to the community by supporting our chosen charity: CRY. We recently raised an incredible £3,134 for Movember, the highest of any club on Campus.
OUR CHOSEN CHARITY
UWRFC is a supporter of CRY, Cardiac Risk in the Young. All proceeds from our charitable events, such as the Annual 7's Tournament, are donated to them. CRY focuses on preventing young sudden cardiac deaths through raising awareness, screening and research. They also run an incredible service supporting affected families.
Alongside our annual Charity 7's Tournament (12th June 2019) and our Player Auctions, UWRFC are incredibly pleased to announce a brand new charity event. Working with CRY, as a club we have secured ECG Heart Screening for all Performance Sport Athletes across the whole of the University of Warwick - an excellent achievement benefitting many of those most at risk from undiagnosed cardiac problems.
